Hi welcome to my website, my name is Chant Kamthongthae, who is very passionate about coffee. I am origianlly from Thailand and living and working in Australia for 7 years.
All my working life has been about coffee. Currently I am a part time coffe trainer at Tafe institute in Sydney, part time coffee teacher for Thai community, and a coffe columnist for the Thai media. Prevously I have worked as a head barista at Zoo bar in Bondi Junction. Previous to that I have worked as a barista at Photo cafe in Padington and as a barista at Bygeorge cafe in Sydney.
My thirst and passion for coffee knowledge had borught me to do a Certificate four in Barista Training at Toby Estate college in Sydney severeal years ago.
As an offside job I am also a coffe consultant for the cafe industry, giving advise on how to do costing, cofee selection, marketing and operations side to my clients. I have also participated at the Australian Gourmet Grand Barista championship, ranked number 10 in year 2005. I had proudly broken the record of most cups of coffee sold per week, with 10,000 cups per week sold, which makes me wear the green jacket as a distinction.
